I find religion kinda boring (sorry God)..I do believe in Him and Heaven and all that jazz, but talking about it and the bible does not inspire awe in me.
Yesterday, however, I listened to a friend explain something about his religion, different than mine, and I have gotta say...it was fascinating. It got me thinking that if more "preachers" could speak as eloquently about religion as this man, there would be more butts in the pews.
I must remember to think up an intelligent question to ask, just so I can hear him answer it!!

You are my friend? Seriously?
Why does it seem I am remembering the mean things people have said to me? My brother was such an ass to me growing up, but he was my brother...they are supposed to make your life miserable. And trust me, he excelled at it.
The other day I was thinking about why I wanted to take this journey now and why I think I am going to be succesful this time. I started to remember the hurtful things I have heard about my weight, and wondered why it is people think they can say anything to someone struggling with their weight and we are supposed to smile..while really all we want to do is cry. I dont want to hear those things anymore, so maybe that will propel me to success.
Want some examples?
1. Have you always been big? My answer should have been: Have you always been stupid?
2. You need to lose weight. Really? No shit, Sherlock.
3. My all time favorite (not really favorite but it does prove my point): In grade 8 my best friend (shows you how much I knew) and I were outside at recess when a boy from our class walked by obviously upset about something...she called him to stop and I said "Hey, are you upset" and he said "Are you fat?" and my friend laughed and said "Wow, you must REALLY be upset!!" Now, at 13 what are you supposed to do? This was my friend who up until that moment had never said an unkind word to me. Funny what being around a boy can do to you! Still makes me cry to think about it.
I have never told that story to anyone. But now I can get rid of that negativity and focus on being positive!!
So here we go...well into week two of the journey to a healthier me!!

Week One
So I joined Weight Watchers in a bid to drop the excess pounds I have been carrying around forever. Its not an easy thing this weight loss.....I realized I have no idea what a proper portion is and I like all the wrong stuff. However, I am really going to apply myself this time.
I also have made friends with my Wii and try to use it everyday. I love the step excercise in Wii fit and just got Wii fit plus which is cool too.....zumba is fun but I cant keep up to them! Wii Active? Fuggedaboudit....if I could do everything they want you to (on the easy level no less) I would be a size 6 and not need it.
So thats what the w's are about...weight watchers and wii
Oh yeah...and I weighed in today...I lost five pounds!! Yea me!!!
Only about 100 more to go!!
